My wife and I started Wicked Smoke BBQ Co as a BBQ competition team back in 2013 but has turned into so much more. We wish to share a traditional BBQ with some “wicked” flare to anyone and everyone. Our unique style combines comfort foods, southern cuisine, and spices all with smoked meats. We source locally when possible and always strive to recycle and compost to lessen our footprint on the earth. My wife and I both grew up in Western North Carolina and have family here; we look forward to the day when we can take the food we love, the family tradition we are proud of and share it with y’all.
We have taken the best BBQ practices from around the country like Texas brisket, and Memphis style ribs along with NC whole hog pulled pork and our takes on sauces. We slow smoke our meats using an Ole Hickory Pit using aged oak wood that was harvested right here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
